BLVD Treatment Centers

448 S. Hill Street Suite 303, Los Angeles, California, 90013
The BLVD philosophy emphasizes mindfulness, meditation, trauma work, giving back, creative self expression, community, and the importance of laying solid groundwork for a soulful and sustainable recovery. The approach to addiction is tri-fold, offering treatment that focuses on the mind, body and spirit. Through comprehensive outpatient services for alcohol and drug addiction, BLVD helps clients change their negative self perceptions and beliefs. Treatment is based on AA’s 12-Steps of recovery, and is administered in conjunction with group and individual therapy sessions.

Facility Highlights

  • Nutrition and wellness groups
  • Yoga, Acupuncture, Drum circles, Equine therapy

Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Holistic Therapy

Facilities that offer “holistic therapy” see and treat patients in the context of their entire lives and health status. They treat the “whole person,” not just the addiction.

    Alexia Rigos, LMFTTherapist
Volunteering and then interning at various schools, Alexia’s work would take her into addiction counseling. For the next three years she worked at a treatment center specializing in treating clients with addiction, HIV, and co-occurring disorders. She also volunteered regularly at a Hollywood non-profit organization where she and her brother would serve food to inner city underprivileged youth while providing them a safe place to gather and socialize. Now, as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Alexia believes that it was the love and support of her own family that drove her passion to want to help others in need.

Very compassionate therapists. Lots of art and meditation therapies. Very little 12 step practices, but constant access to 12 step meetings. EMDR is AMAZING! Sometimes the staff seems a bit disorganized. Perfect place for people in their 20's or 30's that want to be in a very hip environment.

The quality of therapists is extremely high. Clinicians and support staff are extremely dedicated. Able to provide a wide variety of services and options. The facilities are well designed and comfortable. However, it doesn't offer the locations and amenities of more expensive treatment centers. Most often treatment centers offer either a 12 Step or non-12 Step approach, rarely do they offer both as does BLVD. BLVD Centers are also located in the metropolitan area with access to all of the benefits a city has to offer.

The facility is designed and furnished really well. I never felt like I wanted to leave early, or like I didn't want to be there. Everyone's case manager was awesome. I would have been happy with any of them being my case manager. The facilitators always had new material. It was great. There were alot of clients for a month stretch. 14 in a group. Before and after that there were usually like 10. It's can happen at any iop though. The staff really took their time with me. I had a rough time this last time out, and they loved me back to feeling good about self. It was so much fun too. I was at Blvd for just over 3 months and never got tired of it. That's important if you're in treatment, trust me.
